A monthly meeting to discuss books: nonfiction and fiction, old and new. There is usually a monthly book recommendation, but sometimes we choose to just share whatever the individual participants have been reading.
This month's reading: The War Within a War: The Black Struggle in Vietnam and at Home, by Wil Haygood (2026)
Drawing on stories of soldiers and officers, doctors and nurses, journalists and activists, and artists and politicians, author Wil Haygood (a Columbus native) illuminates a generation caught between two battles: one on the front lines of Vietnam and another for justice and dignity in America.
