“Taiji (Tai Chi) for Balance” is an exercise program for older adults who want to improve their balance to reduce their chances of falling. Falls are the leading cause of accidental injuries and deaths among adults aged 65 and older. This class is intended to help older adults who have lost their balance increase their independence by decreasing their fear of falling, and to strengthen their stability, balance and agility.
Sessions are intended for participants of all physical abilities such as individuals requiring use of a wheelchair, walker or cane.
The classes are free.
